The agreement
These terms are an agreement between Faroquest (“we”) and the organisation that creates a Faroquest workspace (“you”). By creating an account or using the product you accept them on behalf of that organisation, and confirm you have the authority to do so.
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Your account
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for the people you invite and what they do in your workspace, and for keeping sign-in details secure.
- Faroquest is for business use by people aged 18 or over.
- Tell us straight away at hello@faroquest.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Plans, billing and cancellation
- Free plan: the Pilot plan is free, within the limits shown on the Pricing page.
- Paid plans are charged per active seat, monthly or yearly, in advance, through Stripe. Prices exclude taxes, which are added where required.
- Adding seats during a yearly term is charged at the same yearly rate for the months that remain.
- Refunds: seats paid for a yearly term are not refunded part way through it. Monthly plans can be stopped at the end of any month.
- Cancelling is done from your workspace settings at any time. Your workspace returns to the free plan at the end of the paid period, and your data stays.
- Price changes are announced at least 30 days before they apply, and never change a yearly term already paid for.
Your data
You own the content you and your team put into Faroquest, including candidate and client data. You give us permission to host, copy and process it only as needed to provide, secure and support the service.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold and process the personal data you add, including candidates' consent where it is required, and for honouring their requests. The product gives you the tools: consent and do not contact flags, retention periods, export, anonymisation and erasure.
You can export your data at any time. After a workspace is closed we delete its data within a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Faroquest to:
- break the law, including data protection, anti spam and employment law;
- discriminate unlawfully against candidates;
- send unsolicited bulk messages;
- upload malware, or probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission;
- scrape, copy or resell the service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
We may suspend access that puts the service, other customers or candidates at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
AI features
Some features use AI to read CVs and suggest match scores. Results can be incomplete or wrong. They are there to help, and show the evidence they rely on; they must not be the only basis for a hiring decision. You stay responsible for decisions made with the product.
The service
We work to keep Faroquest available and secure, and to fix problems quickly, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. The free plan comes without a service level.
We improve the product continually. If we remove a feature your paid plan depends on, we will give reasonable notice.
The product connects to services we don't control, such as payment and email providers. Their own terms apply to them.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Faroquest at any time. We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or that doesn't pay for a paid plan after reminders. When an account ends you keep the right to export your data for 30 days.
Warranties and liability
Except as these terms say, the service is provided “as is”, without other warranties.
Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or placements. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we will tell workspace administrators at least 30 days ahead; continuing to use Faroquest after that means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Faroquest is registered.
